What's new

The following new features and enhancements are introduced in 26.3.

Note: The Help Centers for versions 26.2 to 26.3 are streamlined into a single Help Center. Any version-specific changes are indicated where relevant.

PPM Aviator

The following enhancements are added to Aviator Assistant. In this release Aviator moves to GA status, other than a number of new features that are in Beta. For details, see PPM Aviator and Set up an MCP Server.

  • PPM Aviator includes expanded tool coverage with project-focused interactions. These interactions support project creation, work plan assistance, staffing guidance, resource recommendations, and risk analysis.

  • Project-level AA (Aviator Assistant) chips now provide contextual actions and responses based on the current project. Chip availability is dynamic and can vary by project type, category, and work plan context.

  • A new AA assistant skills configuration page is available in the Administration area. This page enables administrators to modify default PPM risk analysis skill rules that influence project risk analysis responses.

  • Aviator prompt guidance is expanded with additional scenario-based examples. For details, see Example prompts for PPM Aviator.

Resource Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to Resource Management.

Staffing profile clone options

When cloning a staffing profile position, you can now choose between the following:

  • Include Planned Workload. Copies planned workload from the source position.

  • Only Setup Details. Copies setup details without copying requested demand.

Analyze Resource Pool export status filters

Analyze Resource Pool data export now supports Request status filtering, in addition to Staffing Profile Status.

Excel export layout and status coverage are also enhanced.

Staffing profile background processing optimization

The Staffing Profile Period Sum Update service now skips staffing profiles in Completed status. This reduces unnecessary background processing and improves service performance.

Team Management enhancements

In Team Management, the Demand tab now shows staffing profile status in the Status column. When you open the Demand tab, it initially displays positions with staffing profile statuses of Active and In Planning.

What-if Analysis enhancements

The following enhancements are added to What-if Analysis.

Scenario list details

On the What-if Analysis page, each scenario now shows its associated Portfolio, Start Period, End Period, and Resource Pool.

Widget expansion in scenarios

The What-If Scenario Detail page has a cleaner look with better spacing between widgets. Each widget now has a header so you can easily see what it shows. You can also expand a widget to view it in a larger area, or collapse it to save space on the page.

Integration enhancements

In Azure DevOps request mapping, you can now map the priority field and synchronize priority values between PPM and Azure DevOps. After field mapping is set and sync jobs run, priority values are synchronized bidirectionally.

Portfolio Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to Portfolio Management.

Program health custom field synchronization

Program Health now supports synchronization with a custom field from the program request type. This enables automatic calculation of the program health indicator based on the selected custom field value. The custom field and the program health indicator use bidirectional synchronization.

PFM asset milestones step

PFM assets now include a dedicated Milestones step. This enables you to add milestones, edit milestone details, and delete milestones.

Manage milestones in program and portfolio timelines

The Timeline tabs for programs and portfolios now include Manage Milestones. You can edit multiple milestone rows, and delete selected milestones.

Auto-removal of cancelled and completed items

Configure portfolio settings to automatically remove projects and programs from portfolios when their status is changed to cancelled or completed.

Time Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to Time Management.

Timesheet project ID lookup

In the Add Task flow for timesheets, the Project filter now supports search by project name or project ID.

Status-based actuals roll-up

A new application parameter, TM_LINE_STATUSES_TO_EXCLUDE_FROM_ROLLUP, controls which timesheet line statuses cause actuals to be excluded from roll-up to tasks, requests, and financial summaries. The default excludes Rejected and Cancelled timesheets.

Administration enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Administration module.

Default and last-active tabs in request layouts

For request types that use tab or flow layout, you can set the first section shown when request details load. You can use the first configured tab or region, or the user's last active tab or region. Flow layout also supports configurable visible regions.

Keycloak MFA integration

You can now enable Keycloak-based MFA for PPM authentication. This includes Keycloak client setup, PPM server configuration, OTP-based login flow, and localization for Keycloak login screens.

Entity data export/import enhancements

The Configurations page is reorganized into three areas: Export/Import Validations Data, Export/Import Entity Configurations, and Export/Import Entity Data.

The new Export/Import Entity Data area supports export and import of project data templates by project type, and request data templates by request type. Import failures return validation details so you can correct and reimport.

Work plan template custom columns

Work plan templates can now include custom columns. When you create a project work plan from a template, the template's custom columns are available for selection in the new work plan.
