StormRunner Functional 1.60 includes the following new features and enhancements.
Re-branded Micro Focus experience
Experience SRF through a new lens with a re-branded Micro Focus user interface.
You'll recognize the basic workflows, but will also notice improvements in appearance and usability, such as when uploading scripts or selecting environments.
Take a look around!
SRF now supports multiple workspaces in each SRF tenant. Workspaces enable enterprise customers to segregate SRF user accounts and testing data as needed for their organization. Users belonging to a specific workspace can view scripts, sessions, settings, and results for that workspace only.
SRF Admin users can add new workspaces and manage users across workspaces in the SRF settings area. An Admin assigned to a specific workspace has privileges to define settings for that workspace.
If you are assigned to multiple workspaces, use the dropdown at the top right to select the workspace you want to work in.
For more details, see Manage workspaces.
Now you can add Applitools visual validation steps to your SRF tests, and view results in the SRF run report.
Do the following:
Add visual validation steps while recording in SRF. For details, see Record scripts.
Add visual validation steps to your LeanFT or Selenium tests before running them remotely in the SRF lab, or before uploading them to SRF.
For details, see:
Before running recorded or uploaded tests in SRF with Applitools steps, ensure that you're connected to Applitools.
For details, see Connect to Applitools.
After your test run, check your Applitools step results in the SRF run report. For details, see Drill down to Applitools data.
For more details, see SRF and Applitools.
If you have a particularly helpful SRF exploratory session that is a good candidate for reuse and automation testing, convert it to an automated script.
At the top of the exploratory session results details page, click AUTOMATE.
The session is saved as an SRF script, with a name based on the session name and run ID. Add your new script to automation tests to run it using various environments and parameter values.
For more details, see Automate an exploratory session.
If you are testing websites using self-signed certificates, SRF now enables you to run your test smoothly, without interruption.
To enable this, configure your tunnel with a list of self-signed hosts, either in a config.json file, or when running your tunnel from the command line.
For details, see Manage tunnels.
SRF's integration with Micro Focus Octane now supports connecting to an on-premises Octane installation to submit defects.
If you are running your tests remotely, install and configure the reporter before you run the test.
For more details, see:
SRF now provides the following new options when selecting your testing environment:
- Firefox 59, 60, and beta
- Chrome 65, 66, 67, and beta
Help Center enhancements
The ADM Help Centers now include an intuitive, Google-like search.
- Try the search on our Home page or at the top right of any topic page, to find results across all deliverables.
- After searching, switch the filter on the right to perform the same search in a different Help Center, including integrated products like LeanFT and Octane.
- Search across all ADM Help Centers from the ADM Help Center Home. Filter search results by selected products.
