Use SRF tunnels to open secure connections between SRF and apps stored locally or behind a corporate firewall.

This is required only when the app you want to test is not publicly available.

Tunneling architecture

The following image describes how SRF, sitting in the cloud, communicates with the on-premises app you are testing behind a firewall.

Communication flows between the SRF tunnel server and the app you are testing via the tunnel client. The tunnel client is installed behind the firewall, and can access your app.

Configuration and usage

See the following procedures to set up and use an SRF tunnel.

  1. Download and run a tunnel client behind your firewall. For details, see Manage tunnels.

  2. Select the correct tunnel for your app whenever testing an app that is hosted behind a firewall.
