StormRunner Load end-to-end workflow

This section describes the end-to-end workflow to run a load test with StormRunner Load.

  1. Create a script and upload it to the cloud repository.

Scripts form the backbone of your performance test. Your test definition can contain one or multiple scripts. For more information on working with scripts, see Scripts.

  2. Configure monitors.

MonitorsEntity that you want to monitor during your load test, such as an application or web server. can be configured and added to your test definition. For more information on working with monitors, see Monitors.

  3. Create topologies.

A topology represents your system architecture. Group several monitors and add one or more topologies to your test definition. For more information on topologies, see Topologies.

  4. Define a load test.

You add and configure scripts, monitors, and SLAs to a load test definition. For more information on defining load tests, see Define a load test.

  5. Run the test and analyze the results.

During the load test, multiple graphs are generated in real time to illustrate the performance of your application. Access these graphs after the test run.

After the load test has completed, reports are generated that summarize trends from the data that has been complied during the test run.

For more information on analyzing results, see View results.
