Projects

Create projects in StormRunner Load for specific work groups, products or projects within your group.

Assets, such as scripts and monitors, and load tests, are not shared between projects. However you can share load generators between projects.

Note: To enable this feature, open a support ticket.

Where do I find it?

On the menu bar, click your user name and select Project management.

To return to StormRunner Load, click .

Manage projects

Create, edit and remove projects from your tenant.

Action How to
Create a project

Click Projects > .

Edit a project
  1. Click Projects .
  2. Highlight an existing project and select .
Delete a project
  1. Click Projects
  2. Highlight an existing project and select .

Manage project details

Edit project properties and add and remove users in a project.

Action How to
Edit general properties
  1. Select the tab.
  2. Edit Project name or Project description.
Add a user to a project
  1. Select the tab.
  2. Select .
  3. From the list of users for the tenant, select the users you want to add to the project.
Delete a user
  1. Select the tab.
  2. Highlight an existing user.
  3. Select .

Manage licenses in a project

Allocate license to a project or track license usage for a project.

Action How to
Allocate licenses to a project

By default, you must allocate licenses from the tenant to the project.

  1. Select the tab.
  2. Select the Allocation tab.
  3. For each type of license you want to allocate to this project, select to open the Allocate licenses to a project dialog box.

    Tip: Use the filter to display specific license types:

  4. Specify the number of licenses to allocate and apply.
  5. Select to remove all licenses that have been allocated to the project.

Select to use tenant licenses instead of allocating licenses to the project.

Track project license usage

  1. Select the tab.
  2. Select the Usage tab.
  3. Select a date range to display:

    • Show all

    Select Show all to display all test runs for a specific project.

    • Specify a date range

    Use the date picker to specify a date range to display tests run for that period.

Manage load generators

Add and remove load generators in your projects.

Action How to
Add load generator

Add one or more on-premises load generators to your project:

  1. Select the tab.
  2. Click to open the Add load generators to the project dialog box.
  3. Select each load generator you want to add to this project.

Remove load generator

Remove a load generator:

  1. Select the tab.
  2. To remove a load generator, highlight it and click the .

Search for load generators Use the to search for load generators in the grid.
View which projects are assigned to this load generator If you highlight a specific load generator in the grid, a list of all the projects using this load generator is displayed under PROJECT.

View test schedules

To view all the tests that are scheduled to run for the project, select the tab.

For each test schedule listed, the following information is displayed:

  • The name of the test.
  • The scheduled date for the test run.
  • The scheduled time for the test run.
  • The duration of the test.

You can filter the test schedules displayed by:

  • Specifying a date range in which tests are scheduled to run.
  • Searching for specific test names.
