Server configuration properties
This section describes how to view and change the server configuration properties.
Configuration properties
The session options for each server configuration are stored in the starteam-server-configs.xml file. You can modify a number of these options from the Server Administration tool or the command prompt with the starteamserver command.
When the server configuration is not running, you can modify the following session options using the Server Administration tool. Any changes that you make take effect the next time you start the server configuration. You can also change certain configuration options by using the Start With Override toolbar button.
Changing the configuration properties
This section describes how to modify a configuration property.

Open the
Server Administration tool and select the server configuration.
Note: You must access the Server Administration tool on the computer where the StarTeam Server is installed.
- If the server configuration is running, click (Shut Down Server).

Click (Configuration Properties). The <Configuration Name> Properties dialog box opens.
Change the name Type a new name in the Configuration name field. Change the log file path - Click Change Path.
- Select a new folder for the server log file (Server.locale.Log).
Change the database or schema user - Select the Database Connection Information tab.
- Type a new Host or TSN service name in the appropriate field.
- Type a new user name and password in the User name and User password fields. If the server configuration uses an Oracle database, these boxes are named Schema user name and Schema password.
- Click Verify Connection.

- Restart the server configuration.
