New Local Table Data Source Dialog Box

Relevant for: API testing only

This dialog box enables to create local data tables in the Data pane for use with your test.

To access

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Ensure that an API test or component is in focus in the document pane.

    • In the solution explorer, select an API test or component.

  2. Create or open a test or component

  3. Select View > Data.

  4. Click on the New Data Source down arrow and select Local Table.

User interface elements are described below:

UI Element

Description

Adds a new column to the local data table. New entries are added below the last column.

Deletes the selected data table column.

Raises or lowers the selection in the column list.
Columns

A list of the columns in the local data table. Click inside a table row to set or edit the following values:

  • Name. The name of the column.

  • Data Type. A data type: String, Integer, Double, or Date.

  • Description. A description of the data in the column.
