Run settings and global data table parameters

By default, when you run a test with global data table parameters, UFT One runs the test for each row in the Data pane using the parameters you specified.

You can also use this pane to instruct UFT One to run iterations on a test only for certain lines in the Global tab in the Data pane. Under Data Table iterations, select one of the following options:

Run one iteration only Runs the test only once, using only the first row in the global data table.
Run on all data rows Runs the test with iterations using all rows in the global data table.
Run from data row __ to data row __

Runs the test with iterations using the values in the global data table for the specified row range.

The first row in the data table contains the column names. Therefore, the data row number is always 1 lower than the row number in the data table display.

For example, in the table below, Alex is listed in data row number 3, which is table row number 4.

For more details, see Data table parameters.

Run session error handling

Define the following settings to handle errors and timeouts during your run sessions:

When error occurs during run session

Specify how UFT One responds to an error during the run session.

Object synchronization timeout

Set the maximum time (in seconds) that UFT One waits for an object to load before running a step in the test.

Note: When working with Web objects, UFT One waits up to the amount of time set for the Browser navigation timeout option, plus the time set for the object synchronization timeout.

For more details, see Web Pane (Test/Business Component Settings Dialog Box / Application Area - Additional Settings Pane).

Smart Identification

Select the Disable Smart Identification during the run session option to instruct UFT One not to use the Smart Identification mechanism during the run session.

Note: When you select this option, the Enable Smart Identification check boxes in the Object Properties and Object Repository windows are disabled, although the settings are saved.

When you clear this option, the Enable Smart Identification check boxes return to their previous on or off setting.

Business Process Monitor

Select the following options for testing with Business Process Monitor:

Save image of desktop when error occurs

Instruct UFT One to capture a snapshot of the desktop if an error occurs during a run session of a test initiated by the Business Process Monitor.

The image is saved in Business Availability Center. The Business Process Monitor forwards the run results to the Business Availability Center servers.

Allow test to run on Micro Focus Digital Lab / Allow test to run on Micro Focus UFT Mobile

Enables UFT One to run the test using Digital Lab (UFT Mobile).

For more details, see Real device monitoring.

Note: These options are applicable only to tests that are run by the Business Process Monitor component of Business Availability Center.
