Delphi Add-in

Use the UFT One Delphi Add-in to test Delphi user-interface objects (controls).

This is a Windows-based add-in. Much of its functionality is the same as other Windows-based add-ins.

General information

The following table describes general information about testing Delphi applications with UFT One:

Supported environments	The Delphi Add-in supports testing on Delphi controls created in the Delphi IDE and based on the Win32 VCL library. For details on supported Delphi environments, see the Delphi Add-in section of the UFT One Support Matrix.
Test object methods and properties	The Delphi Add-in provides test objects, methods, and properties that can be used when testing objects in Delphi applications. For details, see the Delphi section of the UFT One Object Model Reference for GUI Testing.
Delphi Add-in Extensibility	Develop support for testing third-party and custom Delphi controls that are not supported out-of-the-box by the UFT One Add-in. For details, see Delphi Add-in extensibility.
Prerequisites	The Delphi Add-in has no add-in dependencies. You can open your Delphi application before or after opening UFT One. In most cases, you must compile your Delphi applications with the UFT One agent before you can test them. For details, see Compile your Delphi application Agentless Delphi applications: You can test 32-bit Delphi applications without compiling them with the agent if they are built with a version of Delphi listed in the Support Matrix as supported for Delphi Agentless. UFT One version 2022 and later: Delphi agentless applications can only be tested on 64-bit Windows operating systems.

The following table describes UFT One configuration options for testing Delphi applications.

Configuration Options	Use the Windows Applications pane. (Tools > Options > GUI Testing tab > Windows Applications)
Record and Run Settings	Use the Windows Applications tab. (Record > Record and Run Settings) In some cases, if you select the Record and Run only on option, the settings may also apply to (limit) the applications that are recognized for Object Spy and other pointing hand operations.
Custom Active Screen Capture Settings	Use the Windows section. (Tools > Options > GUI Testing tab > Active Screen pane > Custom Level)
Application Area Additional Settings	Use the Applications pane. In the application area, select Additional Settings > Applications in the sidebar.
