New Test Profile Dialog Box

What is the New Test Profile dialog box? This dialog box enables you to create a new profile for your test with pre-defined user variables.

When should you use the New Test Profile dialog box? You use this dialog box when you need to create an additional test profile for running an API test but enable different values for the test's variables.

To access

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Ensure that an API test or component is in focus in the document pane.
    • In the Solution Explorer, select an API test or component.
  2. Select the Start or End step in the canvas.
  3. In the Properties pane, open the User Variables view .
  4. Click the Add Profile button .
