Environment variables for Windows-based SAP applications

Use environment variables to specify details for the applications to use during a recording or run session. These variables can also be used in external library files for automation scripts.

If you define any of these environment variables, they override the values in the Server description, User, Password, Client, and Language boxes in the SAP Tab (Record and Run Settings Dialog Box).

Use the variable names listed in the table below to define SAP application details:

SAP_SERVER_ENV

The description of the server to which you want to connect.

User

SAP_USERNAME_ENV

The user name used to log on to the specified client number.

Password

SAP_PASSWORD_ENV

The encrypted password for the specified user name.

Client

SAP_CLIENT_ENV

The client number.

Language

SAP_LANGUAGE_ENV

The language that you want the specified SAP GUI for Windows application to display.
