Change detection report

Relevant for: business process tests and flows

This topic describes the Change Detection report, which opens after running a business process test or flow with learned components from SAP application, in Change Detection mode.

Supported ALM versions

Change Detection Mode is available only on ALM servers running the following versions:

  • ALM 12.21
  • ALM 12.01 patch 2 or higher
  • ALM 11.52 patch 7 or higher

If you want to open this report from ALM directly, you must have UFT One installed on the same computer.

Access the Change Detection report

Access the Change Detection report after running a business process test or flow with learned components from SAP application, in Change Detection mode.

Do the following:

  1. With a business process test or flow selected, in the toolbar, click the Run button down arrow and select Change Detection Run Mode.

  2. Wait while UFT One runs the test on your SAP application. After the test run is complete, the Change Detection Report opens automatically.

Note: Only one Change Detection Report can be open at a time.

Change Detection Report user interface elements

User elements are described below:

UI Element

Description
<components tree>

The listing of all components that included in the selected test.

Tip: You can click the down arrow to the left of a component name to see which steps passed or failed in the current test run.

Run status column

The status of the component in the current test run. Components are reported as Passed or Failed .

Note: The Change Detection report does not provide detailed information about each test step. To view this information, you must run the test in the regular Run mode and view the run results.

Changes column

Indicates whether there are changes in your application for the current component. If parts of a component require an update, the Change Detection Report shows an icon and the number of changes required.

The list of suggested changes.

If you view this tab before updating the changes, then the screenshot shows the difference between the versions.

Update changes will only affect current test Instructs UFT One to apply the changes only to the component instance in the current test, instead of across all tests using the selected component.
