Qt Add-in

Use the Qt testing support provided by OpenText Functional Testing to test user-interface objects (controls) developed using the Qt framework for mobile devices.

General Information

Add-in Type

The Qt Add-in is a Windows-based add-in. Much of its functionality is the same as other Windows-based add-ins.

Important Information

OpenText Functional Testing supports only Visual Studio as the compiler for QT applications.

Test Object Methods and Properties

The Qt Add-in uses a sub-set of the standard Windows test objects, methods, and properties, which can be used when testing objects (controls) in Qt applications.

Opening Your Application

You must open OpenText Functional Testing before opening your Qt application.

Low Level Recording

To enable low level recording on Qt controls, you must first modify the object description properties list for the WinObject test object class, as follows:

  • Add the regexpwndtitle property to the mandatory properties list.

  • Move the object class property up the assistive properties list so that it is learned before the text property.

Use the Windows Applications pane.

Record and Run Settings

Use the Windows Applications tab.
(Run > Run Settings or Record > Record Settings)

OpenText Functional Testing recognizes Qt objects only in applications that are opened after changing settings in the Windows Applications tab of the Record and Run Settings dialog box.
