Prerequisite

  • Make sure that your browser policy allows you to install browser extensions.

If your browser doesn't allow extension installation, add the OpenText Functional Testing Agent Firefox Extension to the list of extensions to install. For details, see https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md#extensions.

The path to add for this extension is: <Installdir>\Installations\Firefox\WebExtension.xpi.

Then manually load the OpenText Functional Testing Agent extension:

Tip: OpenText Functional Testing provides an option that automatically updates your browser policy, adds the extension to the installation list of Firefox, and loads the extension.

Select Set Chrome, Edge, Firefox options in the installation wizard when you install OpenText Functional Testing. When you open Firefox for the first time, the OpenText Functional Testing Agent extension is automatically loaded. For more information, see Set Chrome, Edge, Firefox options.

  • If you have a old version of the browser extension installed, you may need to manually remove this extension before enabling its new version. When you complete the set up, make sure you have only the latest extension installed.
