Defining Your Test Object Model

The first step in planning the Testing Agent is to clearly describe the environment that your technology defines. Identify the objects that you want UFT One to test, the object properties that are significant for testing, and the operations that a user can perform on the objects.

  • Define a set of test object classes to represent the objects that comprise applications based on your technology.

  • Determine the hierarchy of your test object classes by defining the parent-child relationship that the test objects are expected to have in a UFT One test. Define a hierarchy that is as shallow and simple as possible.
