_util Object
The _util object provides global methods that you can call in the Web Add-in Extensibility JavaScript functions that you implement to support your custom controls.

 | Alert | Opens a modal message box displaying the specified message. |
| FireEvent | Fires an event on the specified element. |
| GetBrowserType | Returns the name of the browser that is currently running the control. |
| GetBrowserVersion | Returns the version number of the browser that is currently running the control. |
| LogLine | Adds an entry to the Microsoft Windows event log, which you can view using the Event Viewer. |
| Record | Adds a step to the test and adds a test object to the object repository if it is not already there. |
| RegisterForEvent | Registers to listen for a specific event on a specific Web element. |
| Report | Adds information about the results of a step to the run results. |
| ReportEvent | Adds information about the results of a step to the run results and to the ALM Last Run Report. |
| Wait | Suspends execution for a specified interval. |
