|What to Include to Run a Script|
The information that you type when you run a script by typing its name depends on which version of Windows you are running and on the method you use to run the script.
Windows Version Information

Windows NT or 2000
Specify the script name without the file extension. Example:
Note If you specify the WSH executable file name, you must also include the script's file extension. Example:
Windows 9x or Millennium
Specify the script's file extension and precede the script name with the WSH executable filename.
Run command from Open box
Windows NT, 2000, 9x, or Millennium
Specify the script's file extension.
