What's new

This topic describes the new features and enhancements available in version 26.3.

SAP testing enhancements

You can now test SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) Desktop applications (also known as SAP Business Client applications).

You must select all the following Add-ins in the Runtime Engine Settings dialog box:

  • SAPGUI

  • WPF

  • The new SAP NWBC Desktop Add-in

AI-based testing enhancements

Install the Remote AI Object-Detection service on one central powerful computer, to provide faster and more efficient AI capabilities to less powerful machines running your tests.

Web testing enhancements

You can now test web applications running on Headless Edge.

A new BrowserType value is supported in the browser Launch methods, described in the Java, JavaScript, and .NET SDK References.

.NET Windows Forms testing

Testing Windows Forms applications based on .NET 6 and later is now officially supported. Previously, this capability was available as a technical preview.

Official support includes full testing capabilities, as well as supporting test object types that were not previously supported, such as PropertyGrid, ToolBar, Table, and StatusBar.

Installation updates

This release introduces the following installation updates:

  • The minimum version for the Node.js prerequisite is now Node.js 22.22.0.

  • You can now install the IDE plugin on Visual Studio 2026. This enables you to build and maintain your tests on a current version of the IDE. For details, see Install on Windows.
