Connecting to a Remote AI Object-Detection Service

Supported on versions 26.3 and later

To maximize the performance of AI Object Detection, you can install the AI Object-Detection Service on one powerful computer and configure the computers that run your tests to connect to this service remotely.

The runtime engine connects to the remote AI object-detection service using the https protocol.

Set up the connection to the remote AI object-detection service in the remote engine setting dialog box, in the AI Object Detection tab.

By default, the remote AI object-detection service uses a self-signed certificate. To secure the runtime engine's connection to the remote AI object-detection service, use a certificate signed by a recognized CA.
