Site Administration

ALM Site Administration enables both on-premises and SaaS admin users to create and maintain projects, users, servers, site connections, license usage, and server parameters. It also provides a set of tools for admin users to run activities for multiple projects in parallel.

Note: Starting from ALM 16.0.1, the web interface for Site Administration is available for both on-premises and SaaS environments. It replaces the previous Site Administration and SaaS add-on. For details about the legacy Site Administration, see Site Administration (legacy version).

With Site Administration, you can perform the following tasks.

Note: The data available to SaaS admin users in Site Administration is filtered by customer.

Log in to Site Administration

Site Administration is accessible from the ALM Options window.

To log in to Site Administration:

  1. Browse to your ALM URL:
    http://<ALM server name/IP address>[<:port number>]/qcbin.

    Contact your system administrator if you do not have the correct URL.

    For Single-Sign-On users:

    1. If the user discovery page is displayed, add your user name or email address as specified in ALM. Click Submit.
    2. In the IDP page, add your IDP credentials. Click the log in button.

  2. In the Application Lifecycle Management Options window, click Site Administration.

  3. In the Site Administration login page, enter your username and password.

Site Administration masthead

The Site Administration masthead is common to all tabs. It displays the following:

UI Element Description

Opens the Task Status window, enabling you to view tasks that are running behind the scenes.

Opens the Web Administrations tools list.

For details, see Site Administration tools.

Available for SaaS only.

Includes the following information:

  • SaaS Information. Opens the Micro Focus SaaS - Information Center page (external link). This page includes the following tools:

    • Notification Board. Contains SaaS notifications, such as planned maintenance and incidents.

    • Recipient Management. Enables you to modify the list of users who receive system notification messages.

    • Library. Opens a location for shared access where customers can upload documents.

    • Training. Opens a location for shared access where customers can upload training material.

  • Terms and Conditions. Opens the Micro Focus SaaS terms and conditions.

Includes the following options:

  • My Settings: Opens the My Settings page, enabling you to change your personal information and view your user properties. For details, see My Settings page.

  • Log Out: Logs the current account out of Site Administration.

Available for SaaS only.

Active Customer: Displays the current customer.

My Customer: Displays the customer where the logged in user belongs.

To switch to another active customer:

  1. Click the active customer name to open the Change Active Customer dialog box.

  2. In the Active Customer field, select the customer you want to switch to.

  3. Click OK.
