What's new in Deployment Automation
This topic describes the new features and enhancements available in Deployment Automation 24.3.
Manage blackouts
Administrators can now restrict the ability of users to schedule, edit, or delete blackouts. Blackouts can be scheduled for a global environment, an application environment, or a resource, and run at specified times or on a regular basis. During a blackout period, no deployments or other processes can run in an environment or on an agent. For more details on user permissions, see Default roles.
WebLogic plugin
This release includes a new plugin for automating the deployment and management of applications on an Oracle WebLogic Server. The WebLogic plugin provides access to the most common WebLogic deployment operations, using the REST API added with WebLogic version 12c. For details, see Oracle WebLogic plugin.
Other updates and enhancements
The following enhancements are also introduced:
HTTP proxy support
|
You can now configure HTTP proxy properties for all outgoing requests made by the Deployment Automation server. For details, see Configure an HTTP proxy. |
Shell plugin |
A new Temp Directory property, added to Shell script steps, enables you to provide the temporary directory to be used when creating temporary script files. For details, see Run a Shell Script Step or Run a Shell Script with X Arguments Step. |
