Step 4: Map an agent to an environment

Prerequisite: Step 3: Create an environment

This step explains how to associate an agent with an environment.

Note: Agents are physical resources responsible for deploying components. Each environment must have at least one agent associated with it. You must map an agent to an environment before you can map the agent to a component in the environment. For details, see Manage agents.

To map an agent to the environment for the helloWorld deployment:

  1. Under the DA_01 environment, select the Resources tab.

  2. Click Add a Resource. The Add a Resource dialog box opens.

  3. Select the agent you want to map.

  4. Click Add.
