New/Edit Replication Configuration dialog box
In the New/Edit Replication Configuration dialog box, define or change the details of a project, request, or baseline replication configuration for the current DB site.
Project configurations
When defining a project replication configuration, specify the following details in the General tab:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Replication type | (Display only) The type of replication. |
Primary site | (Display only) The primary DB site that is responsible for sending the replication. This string consists of the node name, base database, and DB connection string. |
Configuration ID |
A name that identifies the project replication configuration, up to 25 characters long. When editing the replication configuration, you cannot change the Configuration ID. |
Description | (Optional) A description of the project replication, up to 240 characters long. |
Primary project | Lists the projects from all products in the base database. Select the project to replicate. |
Filter | (Optional) Filter the list of projects. Enter a part of the project specification. The project list displays any projects that match your entry. |
Is replication enabled to the replicas |
Specifies whether replication is enabled. By default, replica sites can receive projects from the primary DB site. If this option is cleared, replica sites cannot receive any projects from the primary DB site. |
In the Branches tab for projects, specify the following details:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Branches |
From the named branches in the base database, select the branches to replicate. To replicate all named branches owned by the primary DB site, select <ALL_LOCAL_BRANCHES>. To replicate all named branches on the primary DB site, except those that are owned by the replica DB sites, select <ALL_NAMED_BRANCHES>. Note: These options are not supported for local replication. You must select the branches to be replicated to local replica sites. |
Baseline configurations
When defining a baseline replication configuration, specify the following details in the General tab:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Replication type | (Display only) The type of replication. |
Primary site | (Display only) The primary DB site that is responsible for sending the replication. This string consists of the node name, base database, and DB connection string. |
Configuration ID |
A name that identifies the baseline replication configuration, up to 25 characters long. When editing the replication configuration, you cannot change the Configuration ID. |
Description | (Optional) A description of the baseline replication, up to 240 characters long. |
Is replication enabled to the replicas |
Specifies whether replication is enabled. By default, replica sites can receive baselines from the primary DB site. If this option is cleared, replica sites cannot receive any baselines from the primary DB site. |
In the Branches tab for baselines, specify the following details:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Branches |
From the named branches in the base database, select the branches to replicate. To replicate all named branches owned by the primary DB site, select <ALL_LOCAL_BRANCHES>. To replicate all named branches on the primary DB site, except those that are owned by the replica DB sites, select <ALL_NAMED_BRANCHES>. Note: These options are not supported for local replication. You must select the branches to be replicated to local replica sites. |
In the Item Types tab for baselines, specify the following details:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Types |
From the item types in the current product, select the item types to replicate. |
Request configurations
When defining a request replication configuration, specify the following details in the General tab:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Replication type | (Display only) The type of replication. |
Primary site | (Display only) The primary DB site that is responsible for sending the replication. This string consists of the node name, base database, and DB connection string. |
Configuration ID |
A name that identifies the request replication configuration, up to 25 characters long. When editing the replication configuration, you cannot change the Configuration ID. |
Description | (Optional) A description of the request replication, up to 240 characters long. |
Is replication enabled to the replicas |
Specifies whether replication is enabled. By default, replica sites can receive requests from the primary DB site. If this option is cleared, replica sites cannot receive any requests from the primary DB site. |
In the Request Types tab for requests, specify the following details:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Types | From the request types available in the base database, select the types to replicate. |
