This wizard helps you to update a work area with changes from requests.

Update changes from this stream

Displays the name of the stream from which you invoked the update.

 

Update changes from the request(s)

Displays the selected change requests.

To add change requests enter their IDs and separate each with a comma.

To specify different change requests, click Select and use the Request Selection wizard to specify a product and change requests.

The selected requests must contain changes that were delivered to the same stream.

Update this work area

Select the work area to update.

 

Perform an interactive update

Interactively review the changes before applying them to the work area.

 

Also include items related to child requests

Updates all items that are related to child Dimensions CM requests of the selected requests.

 

Advanced

Displays advanced options.

 

Include repository files

Enter an expression to only include specific file types in the update.

  • * is a wildcard character that matches any number of characters.

  • ? matches any single character.

  • | joins or concatenates multiple expressions.

  • \ is a separator for folders and directories (Windows and UNIX).

Exclude repository files

Enter an expression to exclude specific file types from the update.

Apply repository date and time

Apply the repository date and time to the files in the work area.

 

Expand substitution variables

Expand item header substitution variables for items being updated.

Item headers are only expanded if the item type has Enable item header substitution set in the Administration Console.

Auto merge non-conflicting file content

Automatically merge files whose content does not conflict. You can also select a default character set that is used to transcode Unicode files before merging.

 

Next

Click to update the work area. If there are conflicts, or if you selected an interactive update, the Review Changes page is displayed.
