Update the part change status (PCS)

Update the part change status of a design part when you want to change the design part structure and are otherwise restricted from making these changes.


To update the PCS of a design part:

  1. In the web client, open the Requests view.

  2. Expand the design part tree in the navigation pane, and select the design part for which you want to change PCS.

  3. On the toolbar, select Manage Parts > Update PCS. The Update PCS dialog box opens.

  4. For New PCS, enter the new default Part Change Status (PCS) to use for child design parts created under this design part. Use up to 3 characters.

  5. (Optional) Enter a description. Use up to 240 characters.

  6. Click Yes.
