New Stream wizard

In the New Stream wizard, create an empty stream, or base the new stream on an existing project/stream or baseline.

Set stream details

On the New Stream wizard's first page, specify the product, name, branch, and description for the new stream.

Field	Description
Create a new stream in product	Select the product in which to create the new stream. By default, your current stream is selected.
Stream name	Enter a name for the new stream.
Unique branch name	Enter a name for the branch to be used for item revisions created in the stream. We recommend to create a name that is similar to the stream name.
Description	(Optional) Enter a description for the stream.

On the New Stream wizard's second page, specify the source on which to base the stream, and define how to enforce Change Management rules.

Nothing (empty stream)	Select this option to create an empty stream.
Based on project	Select this option to populate the stream with the item revisions from another project. Click the browse button and select a parent project in the Selection wizard. Optionally, select a specific version of the parent project. For details, see Select Project/Stream wizard. Note: The new stream inherits all the revisions from the parent project.
Based on stream	Select this option to populate the stream with the item revisions from another stream. Click the browse button and select a parent stream in the Selection wizard. Optionally, select a specific version of the parent stream. For details, see Select Project/Stream wizard. Note: The new stream inherits all the revisions from the parent stream.
Copy build configuration	If based on project/stream: Select this option to copy the build configuration from the parent project/stream.
Based on a baseline	Select this option to populate the stream with the item revisions from a baseline. Then select a baseline from the list.
Change management rules
Valid request must be specified when delivering changes	Select this option to require users to provide a request ID when they make changes to the stream.
