Open Item dialog box

In the Open Item dialog box, you can view and edit the properties of an item. The General tab displays the file name, format, and other general properties of the item.

See the Relationships tab for how to view, unrelate, or perform actions on item revisions, requests, baselines, or design parts that are related to the selected item.

Field Description Rules and guidelines

Project Filename

The name of the file as specified in the project.

Display only.

Item Specification

The item specification of the selected item revision.

Display only.

Item Id

The item identifier.

Type/edit the text.

Item Format

The item format.

Type/edit the text.

Item Type

The item type

Select an item type from the list.

Created

The date the item was created.

Display only.

Updated

The date the item was last update.

Display only. An update includes any changes to the item by actioning or editing item properties.

Revised

The date of the last revision.

Display only.

Last Updated By

The user who last updated the item revision.

Display only.

Item Description

The description of the item.

Type/edit the text.

Status

The current status of the item revision.

Display only.

Owning Design Part

The specification of the design part that owns the item.

Display only.

Usage-related design part(s)

Displays design parts that are related to the item.

To relate the item to a design part, enter the specification of one or more design parts, or click the Browse button to find them.

Design Part specifications that have a space in the name must be enclosed in quotation marks (" "). Separate multiple specifications with commas.

The syntax of a design part specification is:

productID:partID.variant;pcs
