Troubleshooting licenses

This section describes general troubleshooting and known issues for LoadRunner Professional licenses.

  • If the computer system time is earlier than the starting time of the license, the license will not be valid.

  • If you have a temporary license, contact your customer service representative to obtain a Time Limited license.

  • If LoadRunner Professional does not accept your license, make sure that the folder <LoadRunner root folder>\data has Modify and Write access for all users.

  • If you receive a permission denied error message during Controller startup, you must grant Full Control permission for the Registry's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key as described below.

    To add registry permissions:

    1. Run regedit to modify the registry.

    2. Select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key.

    3. Select Security > Permissions.

    4. Add Full Control permission to the user that is running Controller.

    5. Click OK.
