OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis integration
OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis (OneAnalysis) is part of the Performance Engineering module. It provides a cloud-based solution, designed for scalable, high-performance analysis for your load tests.
Note: For information on using the on-premises Analysis version, see Introducing Analysis.
Overview
OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis is a shared data model that can integrate data from multiple source models. It then analyzes and presents metrics and reports for the collected data, all within the same unified system. This helps with overall visibility, providing information on performance and load testing across all layers of your monitored application. Smart insights help simplify the root cause analysis process for performance issues.
In addition, you can use Aviator for Analysis, an AI-powered virtual assistant, to help boost your productivity. Aviator can provide performance insights, and perform tasks such as troubleshoot runtime errors. (Supported from version 25.3.)
After setting up the integration with OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis, Controller can stream your load and performance tests results directly to the tool's database. You can then view a comprehensive, real-time picture of your application's quality and coverage through the tool's intuitive interface.
Configure the integration
To use the integration, you first need to configure your Controller instance using the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis tenant details. This is a one-time configuration.
Contact your OpenText sales representative or Customer Success Manager to obtain a license and tenant details.
To configure the integration:
Prerequisite: Make sure that
-
Connect to the tenant server using the authentication details supplied with your license.
-
Generate your access key. For details, see Generate an access key.
-
On the Controller machine, make sure Controller is closed. Open the <installdir>\config\ wlrun7.ini file in a text editor.
-
Locate the [OneAnalysis] section and configure the following settings:
Property Value OaEnabled Set to 1 to enable the integration. OaLrxBaseUrl Enter the URL for the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis tenant. OaTenantId,
OaClientKey,
OaClientSecretLeave these fields empty. Save and close the file.
-
Start Controller.
-
Click Results > OneAnalysis Settings, and enter the Tenant ID, Client Key, and Client Secret (obtained when you generated your access key). Then click Test Connection.
Once the connection is verified, click Save. The connection settings are automatically updated in the wlrun7.ini file.
Stream results from load tests
For each Controller scenario, you can configure that the collated results from the load tests are streamed directly to OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis. For details, see Collate scenario run results.
During or after a test run, open OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis and select the run that you want to view and analyze. For details, see the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis Help Center.
