Online monitor graphs

You can view the data collected by the online monitors using the monitor graphs in the Online Dashboard.

About online monitor graphs

Online monitor graphs display performance measurements for those resources being monitored during a scenario run. The measurements are based on the aggregated summary data received from the load generators.

Each measurement is represented on the graph by a colored line. Information about the measurements is listed in the legend below the graph. The legend displays the measurements for the selected graph only.

For details on the available monitor graphs, see Monitor and graph types.

Online monitor graphs are shown in the Run tab in Controller. To manage the graphs, see View and customize online monitor graphs.

Viewing monitor data using InfluxDB

The summary data displayed in the online monitor graphs is automatically stored on InfluxDB. You can access InfluxDB and view the summary data from previous test runs, using a visualization tool like Grafana.

    Note:
  • To enable internal communications between Controller and InfluxDB, port 5976 must be open on the Controller machine.
  • Summary data is stored in InfluxDB for 7 days. Data older than 7 days is deleted.

Viewing monitor data in Analysis

After monitoring resources during a scenario run, you can view a graph of the data that was gathered using Analysis. Analysis processes the data from the scenario run results files, and generates a graph for each measurement that was monitored.

For details about working with Analysis at the end of the scenario run, see LoadRunner Analysis.
