Tenant management assets

The Tenant management > Assets area lets admins manage the assets in OpenText Core Performance Engineering projects. Currently, the assets include load generators and agents.

Load generator management

Admins can share load generator assets, such as on-premises load generators, with multiple projects. In addition, admins can delete on-premises load generators that are shared by several projects.

To manage your load generator assets, expand your user name, select Tenant management > Assets and click the Load Generators tab.

The following actions are available for managing load generators:

Action Task

Older versions of on-premises load generators

For best results, use an on-premises load generator of the same version as your current OpenText Core Performance Engineering tenant.

Beginning with OPLG version 2021.04, unsupported on-premises load generators are automatically disconnected.

OpenText Core Performance Engineering supports up to two versions back. For details about supported versions, see Support Matrix.

  • An old, but supported version, is indicated by a Warning icon Warning icon.

  • An old, and no longer supported version is indicated by an Error icon Error icon.

For information about downloading and installing a newer version, see Update an OPLG.

Agent management

Admins can share agent assets with multiple projects or delete agents shared by several projects.

To manage your shared agents, expand your user name, select Tenant management > Assets, and click the Agents tab.

The following actions are available for managing shareable agents:

Action Task
Share

Share an agent with multiple projects:

  1. Select one or more projects. The grid shows all agents that were marked as shareable during registration. For details, see Install and configure a Windows Git agent.

  2. In the grid, select an agent to share.
  3. Click Share to open the Share agent <agent_name> dialog box.
  4. Turn on the Share switch for all projects that you want to share the agent, and then click Save.

Note:

  • The Share agent dialog box lists all projects, except those to which the Git agent configuring the account does not have access.

  • A Git agent can be shared by a maximum of five projects. Therefore, it is best to avoid unnecessary sharing of Git agents (for example, in projects that do not require the Git agent).

  • If multiple users upload or synchronize scripts using the same shared agent simultaneously, the uploading or synchronizing time increases.

Delete

Delete an agent that has been shared with multiple projects:

  1. Select one or more projects.
  2. From the grid, select an agent to delete.
  3. Click Delete button Delete.
Search Use the search box to find agents in the grid.
View the projects sharing an agent

Select an agent in the grid. The Projects section shows the projects that use the selected agent.
