LoadRunner Enterprise Administration masthead

This section describes the buttons in the LoadRunner Enterprise Administration masthead, available at the top of the LoadRunner Enterprise Administration window.

UI Elements

 

Description

<Tenant name>. The name of the tenant is displayed in the masthead.

Show/Hide Task Manager. Shows or hides the Task Manager which displays the status and progress of tasks (such remote installations) that run in your project. For details, see Install upgrade packages on hosts remotely.

Export Report to PDF. Enables exporting a usage report to a PDF file. For details, see Export the report to PDF.

Export Reports to CSV. Enables exporting a usage report to a CSV file. For details, see Export the report to PDF.

Note: Not available for a Resource Summary or Concurrency report.

Settings. Opens the Time and Date Settings dialog box, enabling you to configure the time zone and display format used in LoadRunner Enterprise Administration.
  • Time Zone. You can use the LoadRunner Enterprise client time zone (default setting) or select a different setting: LoadRunner Enterprise server time zone or a custom time zone. The time zone is offset to UTC time.

  • Display Format. Select the date and time field format to use.

 Enables you to select the following options:
  • Help Center. Displays help for LoadRunner Enterprise. It also enables you to open additional online LoadRunner Enterprise resources.

  • LoadRunner Enterprise Application. Launches LoadRunner Enterprise on your machine from your Web browser.

  • About LoadRunner Enterprise. Displays LoadRunner Enterprise version information.

  • Accessibility. Opens the Accessibility window which enables you to activate and deactivate the keyboard shortcuts (see Keyboard shortcuts) and change the color theme (see Set the color theme).

  • Suggest and Idea. Opens the Idea Exchange where you can submit ideas, vote on submissions, and collaborate with colleagues, partners, and product teams.

<user name> Displays the current administrator user name.
Logs you out of the LoadRunner Enterprise Administration window.

LoadRunner Enterprise Administration modules

This section describes the modules in LoadRunner Enterprise Administration, available on the left-side of the LoadRunner Enterprise Administration window.

UI Elements

Description
Dashboard Provides a top level summary view of LoadRunner Enterprise resources, including projects, runs, Vusers, load generators used, and license usage.

Maintenance

Hosts

Enables you to define, manage, and maintain the testing resources used for server-side testing.

Runs Enables you to view and manage individual test runs across all projects in LoadRunner Enterprise. For details, see Manage test runs.
Timeslots Enables you to reserve hosts for performing maintenance tasks. For interface details, see Manage timeslots.
Application Under Test Enables you to create and modify the machines which host the Application Under Test (AUT) components, and the pools to which they are assigned. For details, see Manage Application Under Test hosts.
System Health

Enables you to check the health of each component in you LoadRunner Enterprise system. For details, see Maintain system health.

Remote Installations

Enables you to upload LoadRunner Enterprise host and NV installation packages to the system, and then install them remotely on the appropriate LoadRunner Enterprise host machines.. For details, see Manage remote installations.

Configuration Analysis Servers

Enables you to add and manage analysis database servers to enhance online graph views and capabilities, and provide data for offline graphs. For details, see Manage analysis servers.

Orchestration Enables you to manage the orchestrators and host images which are used for dynamic provisioning of Dockerized hosts. For details, see Automatic provisioning of Docker hosts.
Cloud

Enables you to add your external cloud accounts to LoadRunner Enterprise and create and modify the templates used to provision dynamic cloud hosts. For details, see Manage elastic cloud hosts.

Licenses Enables you to manage licenses for LoadRunner Enterprise, VUDs, and hosts. For details, see Manage licenses.
Servers

Enables you to manage the various servers in your performance testing environment. For details, see Configure servers.

Alerts

Enables you to manage automatic notification alerts to keep track of test start and end times, test failures, and idle timeslots. For details, see Activate alerts.

Site Configuration Enables you to configure the authentication method for LoadRunner Enterprise users and define the project file repository. For details, see Site configuration.
Management Roles and Permissions Enables you to control access to LoadRunner Enterprise projects by defining the user roles, and by determining the types of tasks each role performs according to permission levels. For details, see Assign roles and permissions to users.
Users Enables you to add and customize users, and assign them to roles and projects. For details, see Manage users in a project.
Projects

Enables you to create projects in LoadRunner Enterprise, and define the limits and other settings for the project. For details, see Create domains and projects and Manage projects.

Audit

 

Enables you to view a list of changes made to LoadRunner Enterprise entities (Projects, Pools, Users, Tests, and Runs) and track user login and logout times on the site. For details, see Audit entities and user connections.

Reports Reporting Summary Enables you to generate usage reports to help monitor and manage usage of LoadRunner Enterprise resources. For details, see Reports.

Perform actions from the entity details menu

You can perform various actions on an entity in LoadRunner Enterprise Administration using the menu in the entity's details page.

To open the menu, click the vertical ellipsis in the upper-right corner of the entity's details page. If a user type does not have permissions to perform specific actions, those actions are grayed out.

The following table lists the actions that can be performed in each module:

  • Delete Run. Deletes the selected run. For details, see Delete Run.

  • Stop Run. For details, see Stop Run.

Application Under Test Delete AUT Host/AUT Pool. Deletes the selected AUT host or AUT pool. For details, see Manage Application Under Test hosts.
Remote Installations Delete Remote Installations. Deletes the selected installation package. For details, see Manage remote installations.
Analysis Servers Delete Analysis Servers. Deletes the selected analysis server. For details, see Manage analysis servers.
Orchestration Delete Orchestrator/Docker Image. Deletes the selected orchestrator or Docker host image. For details, see Automatic provisioning of Docker hosts.
Cloud Delete Cloud Account/Host Template. Deletes the selected cloud account or host template. For details, see Delete a cloud account and Delete host templates.
Servers
  • Delete Server. Deletes the selected LoadRunner Enterprise server. This option is not available if there is only one LoadRunner Enterprise server in the Servers list.
  • Check Server. Checks the status of the selected LoadRunner Enterprise server. For details, see Check server.

Alerts Delete Alert. Deletes the selected alert. For details, see Activate alerts.
Users Delete User. Deletes the selected user. For details, see Delete users.
Projects

Navigate using breadcrumbs in an entity's details page

When you open the details page for an entity in a module, a breadcrumb is displayed at the top of the entity's details page.

You can use the breadcrumb dropdown menu to search for entities in the group by name (or ID for runs), and to switch between different entities in the group to view their details. To return to the entity group page, click the parent link in the breadcrumb.

Note: Searches for an ID in the Runs module are performed using exact matches. All other searches are performed using partial matches (matching text in any part of the name).
