Main navigation

This topic describes the main navigation banner and modules menu that enable you to view information, configure settings, choose a project, and manage your tests.

Banner buttons

From the banner you can perform the following actions:

Use the modules menu to move between modules. For details, see Modules menu.

Note: If OpenText Core Software Delivery Platform is enabled for a tenant, the OpenText Core Software Delivery Platform menu is displayed in the banner. Click the menu button to display and go to the OpenText Core Software Delivery Platform. Your OpenText Enterprise Performance Engineering tenant is available in the Performance Engineering module.

Help options From the help options you can get details of this version's features and enhancements, open the online help, display version information, and gain access to other useful resources.
More actions menu

Select one of the following:

  • Controller Options. Opens the Controller Options dialog box, enabling you to configure the global Controller options for your project. For details, see Configure Controller options.

  • Download Applications. Opens the Download Applications dialog box, enabling you to download standalone applications needed for working with OpenText Enterprise Performance Engineering. For details, see Download applications and components.

  • Create a test. Opens the Create New Performance Test dialog box, enabling you to create a new test. For details, see Create and manage tests.

User details menu

Displays the current user name. Select one of the following:

  • Accessibility. Opens the Keyboard Shortcuts window which enables you to activate and deactivate the keyboard shortcuts and change the color theme. For details, see . Keyboard shortcuts and Set the color theme.

  • Change Password. Enables you to change your password. For details, see Change your password.

  • Sign out. Logs you out of your current project and returns you to the MyAccount login window.

<test information>

When you drill down away from the Home Page, for example to the results or reports page, the banner shows several buttons with numbers providing information about the tests.

This indicates the number of tests open for editing Tests open for editing and the number of running tests Open running tests .

Click on a button to display the list of tests, and then click a Test ID or a Run ID to drill down further. For details, see Run Dashboard.

<Domain> | <Project> Shows the currently selected project. Click to see a complete list of available projects and to choose a different project.

Modules menu

Click the Navigation menu ValueEdge menu button to access the Performance testing application modules. By default, the home page opens.

The following table describes the contents of the modules, based on their area.

Module Description
Home Page Provides useful views and quick access to your test and to their runs. For details, see View the Home Page.
Test Management
Assets
  • Analysis template. Enables you to create and manage analysis templates. For details, see Customize analysis templates.

  • Monitors. Enables you to create and manage monitor profiles and monitors over a firewall. For details, see Monitors.

Hosts Enables you to view and manage hosts. For details, see View and manage hosts.
Timeslots

Enables you to view and manage timeslots. For details, see View or edit a reserved timeslot.

Performance Trending

Enables you to view performance trending information. For details, see Define a trend report.

System Reports

Enables you to generate reports to help monitor and manage resource usage. You can also generate reports from Administration. For details, see Reports.
