Program Security Policy

The Program Security policy controls:

  • Who can view the program.
  • Who can view the program cost and benefit.

Note: License and access grant checks apply on top of these settings: the selected group of users should also have the Program Management license and View Programs access grant to view the program or program cost and benefit.

Option Description
Allow program manager to override the setting If a program is created using the program type, this option controls whether or not the program manager can edit the program settings inherited from the program type.
Program can be viewed by:

Select the group of users who can view the program. Multiple selections are allowed.

  • Program managers of this program

    This is selected by default and cannot be cleared.

  • Process participants

    Participants of the request type associated with the program. See Configure participants for request types.

  • Managers of all other programs

    Users that have the Edit Programs access grant.

  • Managers of program contents

    For projects included in the program, they are the project managers.

    For proposals and assets included in the program, they are the users specified in the Project Manager field of the proposals and assets.

  • Program milestone owners

    Owners of program milestones. See Adding Program Milestones.

  • Program resources

    Users that are added as program resources in the program Configure Participants page. See Adding program resources.

  • The specified security groups

    Click Add Security Group to add the security groups where the users are allowed to view the program.
Program cost and benefit can be viewed by: Select the group of users who can view the program cost and benefit. Multiple selections are allowed.
