View requests

Use the request catalog to work with requests in a Dimensions CM product.

To view requests that are assigned to you, open your Inbox.

View requests in the catalog

The Catalog contains all the requests in a Dimensions CM product. You can open requests to view their details.

Note: In a product that uses multiple request providers, the Catalog displays requests per provider. Native Dimensions CM requests open in PulseUno. External requests open in their provider instance in a new tab or window.

To view a request in the Catalog:

  1. On the top navigation bar, select a space from the spaces list.

  2. On the Products page, open a product.

  3. On the sidebar, select Request Catalog or Issues > Catalog. The product's request catalog opens, displaying information about each request, such as the request's owner, lifecycle state, last modified date, and any backlogs and iterations to which the request belongs.

    Tip: To help you find requests, sort the request list and use search.

  4. If the product is mapped to multiple request providers, the request catalog displays a list of requests filtered by provider. To view requests for a different provider, select the provider in the Requests From list on the toolbar.

  5. To open a Dimensions CM request, click its name.

  6. On the request's page, switch between the tabs to view the following information:

    Tab Description
    General

    Displays information about the request:

    • Request summary.

    • The request's acceptance criteria.

    • Attachments.

    • Related requests.

    • The related stream and design parts.

    • Associated reviews.

    • Associated changesets.

    • Total and remaining story points.

    • A burndown chart (if the request is included in an iteration).

    • An external link, for example, the URL of an external website or the value of an SBM ticket related to the request. If the value is a hyperlink, it opens in a new tab or window. This field displays a value only if it has been mapped to request attributes.

    • The request owners and their capabilities.

    • Any iteration, backlog, or epic to which the request belongs.

    Note: PulseUno administrators can configure which fields to display in the General tab.

    Attributes

    Displays the request's user-defined attributes which record important information about the request. For example, estimated and actual completed date, estimated and actual effort, and severity.

    Some attributes may be required.

    Action History

    Displays information about when the request was actioned to different states in its lifecycle, and the users that performed the action.

    To filter the action history, select a lifecycle state.

View requests in your Inbox

The Inbox contains a list of requests assigned to you in a Dimensions CM product. You can select another Dimensions CM connection to view your requests in a different product. If you are assigned requests from multiple request providers, you can filter the Inbox by provider.

To view Inbox requests:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click the company logo in the upper-left corner. The My Work area opens.

  2. On the sidebar, select Inbox. The Inbox contains requests that are assigned to you in a product.

  3. To open your Inbox for a different product, select another Dimensions CM connection from the list of available connections on the toolbar.

  4. If the product is mapped to multiple request providers, requests are displayed for one provider at a time. To view requests for a different provider, select the provider in the Requests From list on the toolbar.

    Request are displayed as a list, where each entry contains information about a request, such as the request's owner, phase or state, and last modified date.

    Tip: To help you find requests, sort the request list and use search.

  5. To open a request, click its name. Dimensions CM requests open in PulseUno. External requests open in their provider instance in a new tab or window.
