This guide covers UFT One versions 15.0 through 15.0.2. Any specific changes are indicated where relevant.
Installed components
In either package, installing UFT One provides core UFT One features, the Run Results Viewer, and the following mandatory GUI testing add-ins:

Select additional add-ins during installation, as needed.

Before you install
Caution: UFT One can potentially be used to record user actions and/or network communications. Therefore, we strongly recommend running UFT One on dedicated test machines that do not contain or provide access to sensitive information. Additionally, you should thoroughly review your lab network topology and access permissions before using UFT One.
Before installing, perform the following steps:
- Ensure that you have required permissions, as listed in Required access permissions.
- If you are installing in an enterprise environment, review Enterprise deployment.
- If you are upgrading, review Upgrade UFT One for specific steps that may apply to you.
- Review any known issues, as listed in Known issues when installing and Known issues with UFT One licensing.
-
UFT One 15.0 or earlier: If you do not plan to use Extensibility Accelerator for Functional Testing, delete the prerequisites\vs2008_shell_sp1_isolated_redist folder from the UFT One downloaded package. This folder installs the Visual Studio 2008 Shell (isolated mode) with SP1 Redistributable Package, which can trigger security software warnings because it is no longer supported by Microsoft.
