Remote Connection Pane (Options Dialog Box > GUI Testing Tab)
Relevant for: GUI tests and components
This pane enables you to define options that control the security of UFT One's communications over remote connections. This is relevant when setting up a remote connection to a Mac computer during a run session, or when using the Remote Connection option (available when you click the ALM Connection down arrow in the UFT One toolbar).
Access the Remote Connection pane
Select Tools > Options > GUI Testing tab > Remote Connection node.
Define remote connection security settings
Define the following security settings:
Note: The settings in this pane must match the preferences defined for OpenText UFT Agent Safari extension on the Mac computer.
Passphrase |
Specify the passphrase to use for authentication when initiating a remote connection to the Mac computer. Note:

SSL CA certificate file |
Specify the path to the CA certificate used by UFT One to validate the SSL certificate file received from the OpenText UFT Agent Safari extension after initiating a remote connection to the Mac computer.

Restore defaults
Clicking the Restore Factory Defaults button resets all product settings, including ALM connection information, the recent files list, and anything defined in the Options dialog box, such as startup options, UI layout, GUI, API, and BPT testing options, remote connection credentials, and more.
