Set file content output value options

Relevant for: GUI tests and scripted GUI components

This dialog box enables you to configure how the output value step is performed. When OpenText Functional Testing performs a file content output value step, it locates the output value text within the line by comparing all of the text on that line. The options in this dialog box instruct OpenText Functional Testing how to treat the text on every line in the file in which an output value is specified. (You can create multiple output values in a single file.)

To access

In the Output Value Properties Dialog Box, select Advanced in the toolbar.

How do these options affect the output value?

Ignore spaces

Ignores extraneous spaces on the same line as the output text when comparing the expected content with the actual content. This is useful when there might potentially be one or more spaces in the text preceding or following the checked text, and you do not want the checkpoint to fail because of this.

Note: This setting is not relevant for missing spaces.

Match case

Conducts a case-sensitive check of all the text on the same line as the output value text when comparing the expected content with the actual content.
