Installation and deployment security

OpenText Functional Testing can be installed with UAC enabled. This includes the installation of all prerequisite software, as well as all OpenText Functional Testing add-ins, the OpenText Functional Testing Add-in for ALM, and installation configurations.

When running the installation, note the following:

• If you install the OpenText Functional Testing Add-in for ALM as part of the installation, and your computer has UAC enabled, you must run an additional installation for the Add-in for ALM following the OpenText Functional Testing installation.

• The following configuration options are enabled by default: 

  • The option to configure DCOM settings for OpenText Application Quality Management integration with OpenText Functional Testing.

  • The option to configure your browser policies to allow installing OpenText Functional Testing's browser extension on your browsers.

  If you want to clear these options, you can do so in the installation wizard.
