Connecting to OpenText Functional Testing Lab

Connect to OpenText Functional Testing Lab to record and run tests on mobile devices.

It is important to secure this connection to prevent inappropriate access to the OpenText Functional Testing Lab server and any connected devices or browsers.

To use a secure connection when connecting to OpenText Functional Testing Lab:

  1. Install the SSL certificates on your OpenText Functional Testing machine.

  2. In the OpenText Functional Testing Options dialog box:

    In the pane for setting up the connection to the device and browser lab, (Tools > Options > GUI Testing > Functional Testing Lab, Digital Lab, or Mobile), paste in the secure URL (HTTPS). The default port for secure servers is 8443.

  3. Provide the authentication information—either basic username and password authentication or an API access key provided by the OpenText Functional Testing Lab.
