Browser policy settings
To enable testing web applications, the OpenText Functional Testing Agent browser extension must be installed on your browsers.
UFT Developer 23.4, 24.2, and 24.4: The extension is named OpenText UFT Agent.
UFT Developer 2023 and earlier: The extension is named Micro Focus UFT Agent.
Your browser policies must allow this browser extension installation. You only need to allow the installation of this one specific extension on each browser you want to test.
Versions 2021 and later, installing on Windows: Browser policies can be configured by the installation program.
Otherwise, adjust the browser policies manually yourself. For details, see the Help Center.
Caution: Make sure that your company's security policies permit you to make this change.
The installation option that controls the browser policy update:
Versions 24.2 or later: Set Chrome, Edge, Firefox options
Versions 23.4 or earlier: Set Chrome, Chromium Edge, Firefox options
This option updates your browser policies and adds the OpenText Functional Testing Agent extension to your browsers' allowlist or installation list.
This enables automatic installation of the extension in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
