User and workspace activity

Use the REST API to retrieve the most recent activity time for workspaces and workspace users. This helps you analyze workspace utilization and user engagement across a tenant.

Usage notes

Before using last_visited, note the following:

• To retrieve last_visited, include the ALM-OCTANE-TECH-PREVIEW: true header and explicitly include the field in the fields parameter.
• The last_visited value is a single timestamp. It shows the latest persisted visit, not historical activity or trend data.
• Activity timestamps are updated after the configured cache interval expires. The default interval is 3600 seconds. Contact Support to request a change to this interval.

  Recent visits may not be reflected until the cache interval expires. If no visit has been persisted yet in the database, last_visited is null. 

Get workspace activity

Retrieve the last time each workspace in a tenant was visited.

Request

GET .../api/shared_spaces/<space_id>/workspaces?fields=id,name,last_visited

Use the fields parameter to return last_visited with the workspace fields you need. You can filter and sort the collection by last_visited.

To find workspaces visited after a specified time:

GET .../api/shared_spaces/<space_id>/workspaces?fields=id,name,last_visited&query="last_visited GT '<timestamp>'"

Get user activity

Retrieve the last time users visited a specific workspace. Repeat the request for each workspace when collecting activity data across a tenant.

Request

GET .../api/shared_spaces/<space_id>/workspaces/<workspace_id>/workspace_users?fields=id,name,email,last_visited

Use the fields parameter to return last_visited with the user fields you need. You can filter and sort the collection by last_visited.

To find users who visited a workspace after a specified time:
