Valid Sets main window

This topic describes the areas and options of the Valid Sets section in the Administration Console.

About the main window

The Valid Sets main window contains the following areas:

Menu area Displays the toolbar for performing operations on a valid set.
Navigation area Enables you to view and select from a list of valid sets.
Content area Displays details about the selected valid set, or a summary of all valid sets.

Valid Sets menu area toolbar

The Valid Sets menu area contains the toolbar with buttons for adding, copying, and deleting valid sets:

Button Description
Add a new valid set.
Copy details of the selected valid set to create a new valid set.
Delete selected valid sets.

Valid Sets navigation area

The Valid Sets navigation pane displays the valid sets defined for the product.

You can select a valid set to view associated details and perform actions on the valid set in the content area.

Select the top-level valid set icon to view a summary of all valid sets in the content pane.

Valid Sets content area

When you select a valid set, the content pane displays the following sections:

Section Description
General Displays a summary of the current valid set. You can edit the general details and the values of the valid set.
Values

Displays the values defined for the valid set. In this section, you can:

  • Edit the general details and the values of the valid set.

  • Disable and enable valid set values.

  • View the history of the last disable/enable operation for a valid set value.

  • Export values to a .csv file.

  • Import values from a .csv file.

Used By Displays information about the attributes assigned to the valid set. You can assign and unassign the valid set from an attribute.

When you select the top-level valid set icon in the navigation area, you can:

  • Select a valid set to edit, copy, or delete it. To select all valid sets on the page, click Select All in the column header.

  • Display the list of valid sets as an HTML page to print or save.

  • Display the list of valid sets as comma-separated values to save as a file.

  • Sort the list of valid sets by clicking the column headings.
