Customize Views dialog box
Use this dialog box to customize the views of document windows.
Note: The changes you make in this dialog box affect all new content windows, but they do not affect already open windows.
Use the Views tab to specify which Dimensions CM objects and which object attributes you can view in each type of content window.

See Initial Views tab for how to specify which content windows are opened automatically when you first open a project in the desktop client.
See Colors tab for how to assign colors to objects in a grid display. You can select different colors for each phase and status of an object type.

Left-hand list:

Click the plus sign (+) to expand a category. Click the minus sign (-) to collapse a category. |
Note: The list is empty until you select a document window type or object class in the right-hand list. |
Right-hand list displays:

Click the plus sign (+) to view:
Single-value single-field and single-value multi-field attributes can be added. Multi-value multi-field attributes cannot be added. (They are not shown in the left-hand list). Click the minus sign (-) to collapse any category. |

Add |
Click to add the selected object class or attribute to the right-hand list. |
Each document window type in the right-hand list can have a maximum of three object classes, plus the Primary and Secondary object classes. |
Remove |
Click to remove the selected object class or attribute from the right-hand list. |
You cannot remove the Primary object class. |
On |
Click to make the selected object class, in the right-hand list, active. |
The icons for active object classes display a green rectangle at the top right corner . |
Off |
Click to make the selected object class, in the right-hand list, inactive. |
You cannot make the Primary or Secondary object classes inactive. |
Up |
For a selected object class: click to move higher up the related object lists in the content window. For a selected attribute: click to move one column to the left in the object list table in the content window. |

Down |
For a selected object class: click to move lower down the related object lists in the content window. For a selected attribute: click to move one column to the right in the object list table in the content window. |
