Find Customer dialog box

In the Find Customer dialog box, search for customers and create or modify customer filters.

Use the Comments tab to limit the search by searching for words in the comments stored with the customer.

Use the Find Now tab to view the search results.

General tab

On the General tab, specify general customer information to limit the search.

Field Description

Filter Sets

Select a saved filter.

When you select a filter, the fields on the tabs are populated with the search criteria that you saved for that filter.

To clear all values, click Reset.

Save button

Click to save the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.

This button is enabled only if you have made changes to filter values in the Find dialog box.

Create button

Click to create a new filter.

Enter a name for the filter. To create a filter based on the values already set in the Find dialog box, select the Based Upon Current Set option.

Remove button Click to delete the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.

Name

Enter the customer name.

You can use wildcards:

  • Use an underscore (_) to match exactly one character. For example, d_g matches dog or dig.

  • Use a percent sign (%) to match any number of characters. For example, d%g matches dog or drag or dreaming.

Location Enter the location of the customer. You can use wildcards.
Project Enter the project name. You can use wildcards.
Contact Enter a contact name. You can use wildcards.
