Get copy only if file modified timestamp is later

Select to only copy items if the revisions in the repository have a later timestamp than the existing files in your work area.

Note:  Dimensions CM metadata already optimizes the processing of revisions and files that do not need to be updated, so normally you should not check this checkbox.

If you select this option, the file in the work area is not updated if it has a later file modified timestamp than the file modified timestamp of the revision in the repository, regardless of which revisions these are or how the file in the work area got there.

If writable workfile exists

Select Overwrite  or Donoverwrite.

If an existing file is read-only, it is overwritten regardless of how you set this option.

Expand substitution variables

Select to enable item header substitution.

Include sub-directories

Select to copy all items in all subdirectories.

This field only appears if you have selected a project folder.

Write metadata

Select to write metadata to the work area.

  • Default is selected.

  • If this is cleared, Dimensions CM doesn't write the metadata files to the work area.
