Web client
The Dimensions CM web client is a web-based application that provides access to a Dimensions CM server and database on a network node on Windows or UNIX/Linux. Use the web client to perform basic Dimensions CM tasks, such as create, modify, and action objects.
Web Client Tools
Web Client Tools enable version management operations such as update, deliver, merge, or get.
Linux and macOS: Web Client Tools are not supported on Linux and macOS clients.
On Windows, Web Client Tools are enabled by default.
You can install the tools from the web client login page. After installation, your browser prompts you to launch Web Client Tools for each version management operation. You can select to always launch Web Client Tools. For details about configuring the tools, see Administration.
To install Web Client Tools:

On the web client login page, click View help for this application .

Select Web Client Tools.

Click the link to download and install the tools.
Or click Test to verify that you have the correct version of Web Client Tools installed.
Use Web Client Tools on remote work areas
By default, Web Client Tools are used for local and remote work areas. With remote work areas, you can use Web Client Tools or the regular web client interface for version management operations.
To use Web Client Tools with remote work areas:

On the top navigation bar, click the user icon and select User Preferences. The Set User Preferences dialog box opens.

Select Use Web Client Tools for remote work areas.

Click OK.
