New/Edit Item Filter dialog box

In the New Item Filter dialog box, create an item filter. In the Edit Item Filter dialog box, edit an existing filter for items.

On the General tab, specify general item information to limit the number of displayed items:

Field Description
Filter name Enter the name of the filter. Use up to 32 characters.
Ignore case Select this option to ignore the case of text strings.

Created from date1 to date2

Specify a date range when the item revision was created, or click the Calendar button to select dates.

Enter dates in the following format:

dd-mon-yyyy [hh:mm:ss]

Updated from date1 to date2

Specify a date range when the item revision was updated, or click the Calendar button to select dates.

Enter dates in the following format:

dd-mon-yyyy [hh:mm:ss]

Modified from date1 to date2

Specify a date range when the item file was modified, or click the Calendar button to select dates.

Enter dates in the following format:

dd-mon-yyyy [hh:mm:ss]

Filename

Enter the item project file name.

You can use wildcards:

  • An underscore (_) matches a single character. For example, d_g matches dog or dig.

  • An asterisk (*) or percent sign (%) matches any number of characters. For example, d*g matches dog or drag or dreaming.

Project Path Enter the path to the item project folder. You can use wildcards.
Product ID Select or enter the product ID. You can use wildcards.
Item Type Select or enter the item type. You can use wildcards.
Status Enter the item status. You can use wildcards.
Originator Enter the user ID of the item originator. You can use wildcards.
Owning Design Part Enter the specification of the design part that owns the item. Or click the browse button and use the Select Design Part wizard to find the design part. You can use wildcards.
Revision To search all revisions, select All. To search only the latest revisions, select Latest Only.
Description Enter a text string to find in the item description. You can use wildcards.
Item ID Enter the item ID. You can use wildcards.
Stage ID Enter the build stage ID, or select a stage from the list. You can use wildcards.

After setting the filtering criteria on the General tab, you can select the Attributes tab and specify attribute values by which to filter items. For details, see Attributes tab/page.
