What's new

This topic introduces the new features and improvements in OpenText Core Performance Engineering 26.2.

AI-driven Performance Engineering

This release includes enhancements to the AI-powered, virtual assistant for OpenText Performance Engineering solutions.

Area Enhancement
Core Performance Engineering Aviator

Core Performance Engineering Aviator is a cloud‑based enterprise service that provides artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for OpenText Performance Engineering products when connected to this paid service. Aviator enhances performance engineering workflows by providing AI‑assisted scripting and automated, AI‑driven analysis.

Aviator includes the following enhancements:

  • AI Usage report, available on the AI Usage page of the Core Performance Engineering Platform, provides aggregated visibility into AI query consumption across supported products. For details, see AI Usage report.

  • Chat management, available in Aviator for Analysis only, enables you to view, reopen, and rename conversations, and start new sessions from predefined prompts.

For details on Aviator for Scripting, see the OpenText Virtual User Generator Help Center.

For details on Aviator for Analysis, see the OpenText Core Performance Engineering Analysis Help Center.

For details about supported client instances and integration details, see OpenText Core Performance Engineering Aviator.

Data and analytics

This release includes the following data and analytics updates.

Area Enhancement
License consumption reports

License consumption reports now include detailed load generator data, allowing you to view the specific count of on-premises and cloud providers used for each test run.

For details, see License consumption.

Added new Public API operations to export and download Vuser logs for test runs, with error handling for unavailable or expired logs.

For details, see Public API.

Integrations and ecosystem

This release includes the following integrations and ecosystem updates.

Area Enhancement
Core Performance Engineering Platform

A new Administration section has been added to the menu. Within it, the Core Performance Engineering Platform enables users to generate and manage their own secure access keys for connecting on-premises agents, authenticating public APIs, and integrating CI plugins and MCP services.

For details, see OpenText Core Performance Engineering Platform.

Application Insights monitor

Due to improved security enforcement by Microsoft Azure, Application Insights monitors now require ID-based authentication. Monitors created with API keys in earlier versions will stop fetching data once this change is enforced by Microsoft. To ensure that existing monitors continue to fetch data, update the monitor credentials using the Update credentials option. Updated credentials are applied to all tests using the monitor.
