DevOps Aviator Smart Assistant

Aviator Smart Assistant is enhanced with the following capabilities:

  • Video power actions:

    • Aviator can generate manual tests for a feature based on a video upload.

    • Aviator can generate a defect’s reproduction steps based on a video upload.

  • Ask Aviator to generate user stories for a feature.

  • Aviator can now use images as part of its input information.

Download attachments with document report

You can now choose to download item attachments along with the document report. This allows external users to access the attachments. For details, see Document reports.

The board view is now available for Backlog Items in the Backlog module. You can base the board columns on any single-selection field for easier planning and tracking. For details, see Board view.

Quality

The following Quality enhancements are available.

Support for Gherkin Rules

Gherkin scripts now support the Rule keyword. You can use it to group together several scenarios that belong to the same business rule.

Support is also added for the Example keyword, which is interchangeable with Scenario.

Linking tests

A many-to-many relation is now available for manual and automated tests, enabling a more accurate reflection of automation coverage and effort tracking.

Linking runs

You can now link existing defects to test runs from the grid view for all run subtypes.

Common functionality

The following enhancements are available.

Area What's new
Move and copy across workspaces

You can now move or copy features to a different workspace in the same shared space, along with their child backlog items.

Note: A user must have the create permission in addition to the move permission to be able to move an item. For backward compatibility, an admin should change the value of the MOVE_CROSS_WS_USE_CREATE_PERMISSION parameter to false, so that only the move permission is required.

Filters

The following filter enhancements are available:

  • A summary of advanced and quick filters is now displayed above the grid.
  • The advanced filter is now available in document reports.

  • The ability to filter by Release, Milestone, Sprint, and Team is now available in advanced and quick filters in the Team Backlog module.

Show/Hide fields in entity form

Administrators can set business rules to show or hide fields in entity forms, based on certain conditions.

Modify lookup lists of reference fields

You can now modify a reference field's lookup list in an item, based on the item's attributes.

Licensing

The following licensing enhancements are available:

Area What's new
Core license deprecation

The Core license is discontinued and replaced by other license types.

Important: Space administrators must assign users with a valid license to ensure continuity of work.

New user default license assignment

Space administrators can now specify which license is assigned to users created from the workspace or from API calls, in cases where the license is not provided in the API call.

Set the DEFAULT_LICENSE_TYPE_FOR_ASSIGNMENT parameter.

Developer license The Developer license now includes partial access to the Dashboard and Release Management modules.
